Wool wants to keep your body temperature regulated. Think of your Ibex wool as a happy little micro-climate wrapping around your body. One of the miracles of wool is that the fiber is not only a great insulator, but that it is a champion of moisture management as well. You'll never get that wet, clammy feeling in wool. Why? Because wool is hydrophilic, usually that is not a good thing for clothing, but wool works to move that moisture (aka: perspiration) from your skin->to the core of the wool fiber -> to the outside environment, away from you.

I just read about the processing of wool. Patagonia is using chlorine-free wool.
After reading about all the chemicals, I want to buy merino wool that's not scoured with chemicals.
